Meet Mrs. Krista

Krista is caring, self-motivated, visionary, and passionate about leading and providing culturally relevant healthcare and well-being internationally. Over her years of practice since 1998, she has been an instructor of CPR & First Aid, a clinical educator and director of Clinical Quality Assurance, as well as practicing medically in cardiac care, electrophysiology, step-down units, psychiatric, medical-surgical, oncology, and community health. Since 2015, she has lived in Ethiopia, providing medical education and care, training, and public speaking in diverse environments and people groups. Most recently, she has been working at the International Community School of Addis Ababa as the Chief Medical Officer and a Designated Safeguarding Lead. She aims to inspire everyone she meets to progress in their personal and professional aspirations and to strive within their current cultural context.

She is passionate about impacting and empowering clinics, schools, and businesses around the globe. Helping them to obtain cutting-edge medical systems, wellness, and care for local and international staff, along with providing internationally accredited CPR and First Aid training. She fosters advancement with policy development, documentation, assessment skills, and best practice responses to emergencies, promoting cross-cultural competence and exemplary school health programs. These services also empower international school communities to meet CIS standards regarding Health & Wellness in domains A, B, F & G. She is the founder and CEO of Impact Global Health, which provides the services listed above and supports organizations to develop health and wellness programs equipping them with more efficient, satisfying, and productive outcomes. She travels extensively to provide these services in person and offers some remotely as it fits the needs of each diverse environment.

In addition to her work, she enjoys volunteering in many capacities, including nursing leadership, medical education, and healthcare in the community setting. She is a Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society member and continues to further herself in advanced education. She is married to a wonderful husband and has three fabulous sons. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, being active outdoors, playing games, and grabbing coffee with others!
